Queensland University of Technology

While enjoying a trip along the Brisbane River on a Brisbane CityCat or ferry, the QUT wharf is another stop well worthy of hopping off and going exploring from.

The Queensland University of Technology (QUT), one of the largest universities in Australia, is located in the Brisbane central business district and nestled along the Brisbane River. QUT wharf is between South Bank 1 & 2, where you can visit the exciting South Bank Parklands, and the Eagle Street Pier wharf in the heart of the city's financial precinct.

QUT has four campuses in South East Queensland, with the city campus known as the Gardens Point Campus, named for its proximity to neighbouring Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. Along with admiring the blend of grand historic structures and modern buildings of QUT, the university has cafés, libraries and a sporting centre that are open to visitors as well as students.

This campus is home to the Brisbane Graduate School of Business and the Gardens Cultural Precinct, incorporating the Gardens Theatre and the QUT Art Museum. The Gardens Theatre, previously the Basil Jones Theatre, is Brisbane central business district's only theatre complex.

The QUT wharf is also the stop you need if you want to enjoy a free tour of Parliament House, next to the university, or explore the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. What's more, it's just a short stroll to many other attractions in the heart of Brisbane City.

If you're visiting Brisbane, Australia, make sure you grab your Brisbane map and circle QUT on it as a place to visit.
